2023 Youth Results – Assunpink

April 1st was our second tournament of the season. This would represent our NJ Jr. State Championship which qualifies the winners a spot to fish the National Championship.

One again our anglers showed up in full force ready to compete.

As predicted, the weather was not going to cooperate again. Although they were expecting a high of 70 degrees, the torrential downpour all day made fishing somewhat difficult for our young anglers. This would not stop them from sticking it out all day and searching to find that bite.

 As luck would have it in the final half hour of the tournament the sun would shine down upon us giving our rain drenched anglers some time to dry out. Unfortunately with the late day break in the weather, not many 15″ fish were brought to the scales.

Congratulations to the winners: Nicholas, Taylor, Max and Vegas who will all be heading to the National Championship on Lake Hartwell.

Also , congrats to the winners of the 3 additional rods that were given away.
